    Lazienkowski Bridge

    The Łazienkowski Bridge over the Vistula River in Warsaw, which is a part of the Łazienkowska Route, was erected in 1971-1974. The central part of the bridge has a steel structure (welded and riveted) with a steel orthotropic plate based on a scheme of a five-span continuous beam. In the cross-section, four main plate girders with fixed web height were designed. The access viaducts on both sides of the central section were constructed as prestressed, cable-concrete.

    After the fire of 14.02.2015, it was decided to dismantle the damaged steel structure of the bridge and install a new one on the preserved pillars, as well as to rebuild the poorly maintained access viaducts to the crossing.
