MONITORING OF FOUNDATION OF A GAS EXHAUST FAN IN A POWER STATION
The task the monitoring system is to determine whether in the structure scratches are stabilized, and are constantly changing aperture. Such a task was assigned to the measuring devices within the framework of expert construction, the aim of which was to determine whether the damages to the foundation have an impact on the performance of the machine mounted on it.
Monitored object is the reinforced concrete foundation of the gas exhaust fan in a power plant. the mass of rotating parts of the fan was approximately 10 tons. While the machine was working the formation vibrations with amplitudes prevented safe operation of the unit. As part of the works of measuring, vibration acceleration was recorded in the individual components, ranging from engine bearings and ventilator, through the steel supporting structures, and ending on the foundation. The vibrations were measured synchronously with 4 accelerometers.
